Gather wire, stone, wire cutters, round-nose pliers, chain-nose pliers, and flush cutters
Choose a stone with a stable shape or drill-free surface for wrapping
Cut a length of wire long enough to wrap around the stone several times
Find the center of the wire and place it against the stone
Cross the wire ends over the stone to form the first hold
Wrap each wire end around the stone to secure it in place
Keep the wraps snug and even
Use pliers to tighten and shape the wire as needed
Create a bail or loop at the top for hanging if making a pendant
Twist or braid wires for decorative support if desired
Trim excess wire with flush cutters
Tuck sharp ends inward with pliers
Check that the stone is secure before wearing or using
Adjust wraps gently until the stone sits firmly
Practice on inexpensive stones before wrapping valuable ones
