Empty the washing machine
Add 2 cups of white vinegar to the detergent dispenser or drum
Run the hottest and longest wash cycle
Pause the cycle if possible and let the vinegar sit for 30 to 60 minutes
Resume and complete the cycle
Wipe the drum, door, gasket, and detergent drawer with a clean cloth
Run an extra rinse cycle with plain water
Leave the door open to let the machine dry
Clean the detergent drawer and filter separately if needed
