Open Instagram and swipe right or tap your profile picture to create a Story
Take a photo, record a video, or upload content from your gallery
Tap the drawing tool or sticker options, depending on the background you want to change
For a solid color background, tap the drawing tool, choose a color, then press and hold on the screen
For a photo background, add the photo you want from your gallery and set it as the base layer
For a gradient or custom background, use the text, sticker, or drawing tools to cover the screen
If you are adding text or stickers to a blank Story, tap the background area and select or create a color
To change the background behind a photo, use the cutout or sticker feature and place the photo over a new background
Adjust the size and position of your content as needed
Tap Your Story to post it
