Open Instagram in a web browser
Log in to the account you want to delete
Go to the Delete Your Account page
Select a reason for deleting the account
Re-enter your password
Click Permanently delete my account
Confirm the deletion request
Wait for the account deletion process to complete
If you want a temporary option, choose to deactivate the account instead
