How To Mash Potatoes?

Peel the potatoes

Cut them into even chunks

Place them in a pot and cover with cold salted water

Bring to a boil

Reduce to a simmer and cook until tender

Drain the potatoes well

Return them to the hot pot for a minute to dry

Add butter

Add warm milk or cream

Mash with a potato masher until smooth or slightly chunky
