Drink 4 to 8 ounces of fruit juice
Drink regular soda, not diet soda
Eat glucose tablets
Eat hard candy
Eat 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey
Eat 3 to 4 pieces of glucose gel
Eat 15 grams of fast-acting carbohydrates
Recheck blood sugar after 15 minutes
Repeat if blood sugar is still low
Eat a snack with protein and carbohydrates after it improves
Seek emergency help if the person is unconscious or cannot swallow
