Press and hold the top button and either volume button until the power slider appears
Drag the slider to the right to turn off the iPad
If the iPad has a Home button, press and hold the top button until the power slider appears

If the screen is frozen, press and quickly release the volume up button
Press and quickly release the volume down button
Press and hold the top button until the Apple logo appears, then release if you are restarting instead of turning off
