Stop pulling hard on the zipper
Check for fabric caught in the teeth
Gently wiggle the zipper pull back and forth
Pull the fabric away from the zipper with your fingers
Apply a small amount of graphite, soap, or zipper lubricant to the teeth
Work the zipper slowly after applying lubricant
Use tweezers to remove any trapped threads or debris
Hold the zipper track straight while moving the pull
If the zipper is stuck on a seam, ease the fabric apart slightly
Clean the zipper teeth if dirt or buildup is causing the jam
Replace a damaged zipper pull or slider if it will not move
Take the item to a tailor or repair shop if it still will not budge
