Turn off the water supply
Open the faucet to release any remaining water
Place a bucket or towel under the sink
Disconnect the supply lines
Remove the old faucet mounting hardware
Lift out the old faucet
Clean the sink surface
Install the gasket or plumber’s putty if required
Insert the new faucet into the mounting holes
Secure the faucet from underneath
Connect the supply lines to the faucet
Tighten all connections
Turn the water supply back on
Check for leaks
Tighten any leaking connections if needed
