Peel, core, and slice 4 apples
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat
Add the apple slices to the skillet
Sprinkle in 2 to 4 tablespoons sugar
Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Add a pinch of salt
Stir to coat the apples evenly
Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally
Cook until the apples are tender and lightly caramelized
Remove from heat and serve warm
