Locate the “Learn” or “Program” button on the Genie garage door opener motor unit
Press and release the “Learn” or “Program” button
Wait for the indicator light to turn on or start blinking
Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the Genie remote you want to program
Keep holding the remote button until the opener light blinks or the opener clicks
Release the remote button
Press the remote button again to test the programming
Repeat the process for additional remote buttons if needed
If programming fails, replace the remote battery and try again
If the opener has a keypad or multiple remotes, follow the same learn-button process for each device
