Add 1–2 tablespoons of water to a microwave-safe dish (or sprinkle water on the corn)
Place the corn on the cob in the dish
Cover with a microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap (leave a small vent if using plastic wrap)
Microwave on high for 3–5 minutes per ear
Carefully rotate the corn (use tongs or oven mitts)
Microwave 1–3 more minutes, until tender
Let stand covered for 1–2 minutes before serving
Optional: For extra flavor, brush with butter and season after microwaving
