Open your Google Docs document
Click where you want the text box
Go to `Insert`
Select `Drawing`
Click `+ New`
Click `Text box` (T icon)
Click and drag on the drawing canvas to create the text box
Type your text
Click and drag to reposition the text box inside the drawing (if needed)
Click `Save and close`
Click the drawing to resize or move it within the document
