Shut down the computer
Turn off the power supply
Unplug the power cable
Disconnect all connected cables
Open the computer case
Ground yourself to discharge static electricity
Locate the graphics card
Disconnect any PCIe power connectors from the graphics card
Remove any screws securing the graphics card bracket to the case
Release the PCIe slot latch on the motherboard
Hold the graphics card by its edges
Pull the graphics card straight out of the PCIe slot
Place the graphics card on an anti-static surface
