Turn off the main power supply
Verify the panel is de-energized with a voltage tester
Remove the panel cover
Identify the breaker to be replaced
Note the breaker type and amperage rating
Disconnect the wire from the breaker
Release the breaker from the bus bar and panel
Remove the old breaker
Install the new breaker of the same type and rating
Reconnect the wire to the new breaker
Snap the breaker onto the bus bar and into place
Reinstall the panel cover
Turn the main power back on
Turn on the new breaker
Test the circuit for proper operation
