How To Plug A Tire?

Park on a flat, safe surface and set the parking brake

Locate the puncture and confirm the tire is repairable

Remove the object causing the leak

Mark the puncture location

Ream the hole with the plug tool

Thread the plug strip through the insertion tool

Coat the plug with rubber cement if included

Push the plug into the hole until only a small amount remains outside

Pull the insertion tool out quickly, leaving the plug in place

Trim excess plug material flush with the tread

Inflate the tire to the recommended pressure

Check for leaks with soapy water

Reinflate or replug if needed

Reinstall the wheel if removed

Drive a short distance and recheck tire pressure
