Open the Instagram app
Go to your profile
Tap the menu (three lines) or Settings
Tap Sign in
Enter your username and password
If you’re locked out, tap Get help signing in
Use your email address or phone number to receive a login link or code
If you forgot your password, tap Forgot password and reset it
If your account was disabled, look for the message about account status
Tap Learn more in the disabled account notice
Submit the required form for review
Upload the requested information or selfie if prompted
Check your email for Instagram’s review response
If you can’t access email/phone, select Try another way during recovery
If you’re asked to confirm identity, follow the steps exactly
If you received an appeal/decision, wait for the final status email
If you’re permanently disabled, create a new account only if you’re unable to regain access through recovery
