You cannot use Google Meet’s built-in recording feature on a phone as a participant unless the meeting host has enabled recording and your account has permission
Ask the host to start the recording from a computer or supported device
Ask the host to grant you co-host or host privileges if they want you to record
Use your phone’s built-in screen recorder if your device supports it
On Android, open Quick Settings and tap Screen Recorder before joining the meeting
On iPhone, add Screen Recording to Control Center, then start recording before joining the meeting
Make sure microphone audio is enabled in your screen recorder settings if you want to capture sound
Join the Meet call after starting the screen recording
Stop the screen recording when the meeting ends
Check your device storage before recording to avoid interruptions
Respect privacy, consent, and local recording laws before recording any meeting
