Open the Facebook app or go to facebook.com and sign in
Click your profile picture (top right)
Select Settings and privacy
Select Settings
Choose Password and security
Select Change password
Enter your current password
Enter your new password
Confirm the new password
Select Save changes
If you’re not signed in, go to facebook.com/login/identify and follow the prompts to recover your account
After regaining access, repeat the steps to change your password under Password and security
