Wash the pan with warm water and mild dish soap before first use
Dry the pan completely with a soft towel
Apply a thin layer of high-smoke-point oil to the cooking surface
Wipe off any excess oil so only a light film remains
Heat the pan over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes
Let the pan cool completely
Wipe out any remaining oil with a clean paper towel
Repeat the oiling and heating process 1 to 2 more times if desired
Avoid using butter or low-smoke-point oils for seasoning
Re-season occasionally after heavy use or if food starts sticking
