Pat the chicken drumsticks dry with paper towels
Place the drumsticks in a bowl
Add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oil
Toss until the drumsticks are evenly coated
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper
Place a wire rack on the baking sheet if available
Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer with space between them
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes
Turn the drumsticks halfway through cooking
Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C)
Broil for 2 to 3 minutes for extra crispiness if desired
Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes
Serve hot
