Use a sharpening stone, honing stone, or fine diamond file
Hold the blade at the original factory angle
Sharpen the cutting edge with light, even strokes
Maintain consistent pressure and direction
Sharpen both blades evenly
Remove any burrs with a finer stone or strop
Clean the blades again after sharpening
Apply clipper oil to the blades
Reassemble the blades
Test the clipper on a small section of hair or a test material
Adjust alignment if the blades pull or cut unevenly
Replace the blades if they are too worn to sharpen properly
