Unplug the dryer
Remove the lint screen
Clean lint from the lint screen
Wash the lint screen with warm soapy water if needed
Let the lint screen dry completely
Vacuum the lint trap housing
Wipe the drum with a damp cloth
Clean the door seal and edges
Remove any debris from the drum and gasket
Clean the dryer vent hose
Clean the vent opening outside
Reattach the vent hose securely
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth
Use a mild cleaner on stubborn spots
Dry all surfaces
Plug the dryer back in
Run an empty short cycle to check operation
