Empty the washer
Set the washer to the hottest water setting and largest load size
Add 2 cups of white vinegar to the drum
Start the wash cycle and let it run for a few minutes
Pause the cycle and let the vinegar sit for 1 hour
Resume and complete the cycle
Add 1 cup of baking soda to the drum
Run another hot wash cycle
Wipe the lid, rim, agitator, and tub with a microfiber cloth
Clean the detergent dispenser and fabric softener dispenser
Remove and clean the lint filter if your washer has one
Scrub any visible mold or residue with a soft brush and vinegar
Leave the lid open after each use to let the washer dry
Repeat the cleaning process once a month
