Drink plenty of fluids
Rest as much as possible

Take over-the-counter pain relievers if needed
Use decongestants if appropriate
Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke
Sleep with your head elevated
Blow your nose gently
See a doctor if symptoms are severe, last more than 10 days, or keep returning
