Open a crafting table
Place 4 wooden planks in the left and right columns of the 3×3 crafting grid
Place 2 sticks in the center column, one in the middle row and one in the bottom row
Collect the fence from the result slot
Use any matching wood type for the planks
For a nether brick fence, place 6 nether bricks in the crafting grid instead of wood and sticks
