Locate the cord, wand, or control mechanism
Release any locking mechanism if present
Pull the cord down gently to lower the blinds
Tilt or turn the wand if the blinds use a wand control
Pull the bottom rail down if the blinds are cordless
Stop when the blinds reach the desired height
Secure the cord or control in place if needed
