Use a double-12 domino set
Shuffle all dominoes face down
Each player draws 15 dominoes in a 4-player game
Each player draws 16 dominoes in a 2- or 3-player game
Leave the remaining dominoes in a boneyard
Place the highest double on the table to start the first round
Begin the next round with the next lower double
If no one has the required double, draw from the boneyard until it appears
Players take turns placing one domino at a time
Match one end of a domino to an open end on the layout
If a player cannot play, they must draw one domino
If the drawn domino can be played, it must be played immediately
If it cannot be played, the player passes
A Mexican Train may be started from the center hub
Any player may add dominoes to their own train
Other players may add dominoes to the Mexican Train if it is open
A train becomes open when its owner cannot play on it
A player may also play on another open train if allowed by the rules being used
The round ends when a player uses all their dominoes
The round also ends if no player can make a legal move
Score the round by adding the pips left in each player’s hand
The player with the lowest total score after all rounds wins
Play multiple rounds, starting each with the next lower double
Use the double-blank as the final starting double if included in the set
