Wash your hands before and after applying the cream
Clean the anal area gently with mild soap and water, then pat dry
Apply the cream only as directed on the package or by your doctor
Use a clean finger, cotton swab, or applicator if provided
Apply a small amount to the affected area
If instructed, apply just inside the anus using the applicator or finger
Do not insert the applicator or finger too deeply
Avoid using more cream than recommended
Apply the cream after bowel movements and before bedtime if advised
Wear loose, breathable underwear after application
Stop using the cream and seek medical advice if irritation, rash, or worsening symptoms occur
