Clean the stucco surface and let it dry
Plan the light layout and measure the run
Use stucco-safe adhesive clips or hooks
Apply clips according to the manufacturer’s instructions
Press each clip firmly onto the stucco
Avoid drilling unless absolutely necessary
If drilling, use masonry bits and anchors made for stucco
Attach lights to the clips with light zip ties or built-in clip holders
Keep lights away from edges, seams, and damaged stucco
Use outdoor-rated lights, clips, and extension cords
Leave slight slack to reduce strain on the stucco
Test the lights before and after installation
Remove lights carefully after the season
Clean off any adhesive residue promptly
