Turn off the pool pump
Set the filter valve to Backwash
Attach the backwash hose if required
Turn the pump back on
Run the backwash until the sight glass or discharge water runs clear
Turn off the pump
Set the valve to Rinse
Turn the pump on and run for 20 to 30 seconds
Turn off the pump
Set the valve back to Filter
Turn the pump on
Check and adjust the pool water level
Clean or empty the skimmer and pump baskets if needed
