How To Boil Artichokes?

Rinse the artichokes under cold water

Trim the stem, if needed

Cut off the top inch of the artichoke

Snip the sharp tips of the outer leaves, if desired

Fill a large pot with water

Add salt and lemon juice to the water

Bring the water to a boil

Place the artichokes in the pot

Reduce to a simmer

Cover the pot

Boil until the leaves pull off easily and the base is tender

Remove the artichokes from the pot

Drain upside down

Serve warm
