Mark the pleat placement lines on the fabric
Fold the fabric inward at the first outer line
Bring the fabric to the center line
Fold the opposite outer line inward to meet the center line
Align all fold edges evenly
Press the folds flat with an iron
Pin the pleat in place
Stitch or secure the pleat as needed
