List each course and its credit hours
Convert each letter grade to grade points using your school’s scale
Multiply each course’s grade points by its credit hours
Add all quality points together
Add all credit hours together
Divide total quality points by total credit hours
Round the result if your school requires it
Exclude courses from GPA if your school marks them as pass/fail, withdrawn, or non-credit
Repeat the same process for semester GPA or cumulative GPA as needed
