List each assignment, exam, quiz, and project
Note the score earned for each item
Note the maximum possible score for each item
Convert each score to a percentage if needed
Multiply each item’s percentage by its weight
Add all weighted scores together
If all items have equal weight, average the percentages
If using points, divide total points earned by total points possible
Round the result if required by your grading policy
Compare the final percentage to the grading scale to find the letter grade
