Open Instagram and log in to the account you want to cancel
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Settings and privacy
Go to Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account
Choose Delete account
Tap Continue
Follow the prompts to confirm
Enter your password if asked
Confirm the deletion request
If you want to temporarily disable the account instead, choose Deactivate account instead of Delete account
