How to Change a Bath Faucet?

Turn off the water supply to the bathtub

Open the faucet to drain any remaining water

Cover the drain to prevent losing small parts

Remove the faucet handle or trim plate

Unscrew and remove the old faucet spout or valve trim

Disconnect any supply lines or mounting hardware if needed

Clean the area around the pipe or valve opening

Apply plumber’s tape to threaded connections if required

Install the new faucet or spout

Tighten all screws, nuts, and fittings securely

Reinstall the handle and trim plate

Turn the water supply back on

Check for leaks

Test hot and cold water flow

Adjust or tighten fittings if necessary
