How To Clean A Mattress?

Remove all bedding, mattress protectors, and covers

Vacuum the entire mattress surface (including seams, edges, and tufts)

Spot-clean stains using a clean cloth and a mild solution (e.g., water + a small amount of gentle detergent)

Blot stains instead of scrubbing to avoid spreading

For oily stains: apply a small amount of dish soap solution, blot, then rinse lightly with a damp cloth

For urine stains: blot, then apply an enzyme cleaner per label instructions, and blot again

For sweat/odor: sprinkle baking soda lightly over the surface, allow it to sit, then vacuum thoroughly

If needed, lightly dampen a cloth with water and blot to remove any soap residue

Air-dry the mattress completely before remaking the bed

If possible, place the mattress in direct sunlight for a short period to help freshen and dry

Clean and wash removable parts (mattress protector, sheets, and covers) according to their labels

Vacuum the area around the bed and the bed frame

Repeat vacuuming and deodorizing (baking soda) every 3–6 months

Use a waterproof or breathable mattress protector to reduce future messes

Avoid soaking the mattress and do not use harsh chemicals unless the mattress label allows it
