Unplug the refrigerator
Remove all food
Discard expired or spoiled items
Take out shelves, drawers, and bins
Wash removable parts with warm soapy water
Rinse and dry removable parts completely
Mix a cleaning solution of warm water and mild soap or baking soda
Wipe the interior walls, ceiling, floor, and door seals
Clean corners, edges, and crevices
Wipe the exterior surfaces
Clean the handles
Clean the top and sides
Dry all surfaces with a clean cloth
Reinstall shelves, drawers, and bins
Return food to the refrigerator
Plug the refrigerator back in
Clean up spills immediately in the future
