Use a small amount of mild dish soap if needed
Clean around the edges and crevices with a soft toothbrush or cotton swab
Wipe away soap residue with a clean damp cloth
Dry all surfaces thoroughly with a soft towel
Clean the exterior with a damp cloth
Remove and wash drip trays if your waffle maker has them
Never submerge the waffle maker in water
Never use abrasive pads, metal tools, or harsh cleaners
Store only after it is completely dry
