Unplug the refrigerator or turn off the water supply
Remove the water filter if needed
Empty any remaining water from the dispenser
Mix warm water with mild dish soap
Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the solution
Wipe the dispenser nozzle, drip tray, and surrounding area
Use a cotton swab or small brush to clean tight spaces
Rinse with a clean damp cloth
Sanitize with a solution of equal parts water and white vinegar or a manufacturer-approved cleaner
Wipe again with a clean damp cloth
Dry all parts with a clean towel
Reinstall the water filter if removed
Turn the water supply back on or plug the refrigerator back in
Run several cups of water through the dispenser
Clean the drip tray separately if removable
Repeat regularly to prevent buildup and odors
