Unplug the washer
Remove any clothing or items from the drum
Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent
Clean the detergent dispenser and any removable parts
Run a hot water cleaning cycle with washer cleaner or white vinegar
Wipe the inside of the drum with a clean cloth
Clean the door seal or gasket, including folds and crevices
Remove and clean the drain pump filter if your model has one
Leave the door or lid open to let the washer dry
Clean the lint filter if your model includes one
Repeat the cleaning cycle regularly
