Unplug the washing machine
Remove any laundry from the drum
Wipe the drum with a damp cloth
Clean the detergent drawer
Remove and rinse the lint filter
Wipe the door seal and gasket
Clean the exterior with a mild cleaner
Run a hot empty cycle with washing machine cleaner or vinegar
Leave the door open to air dry
Clean the drain pump filter if accessible
Check and clean the hoses if needed
Repeat regularly
