Turn on the Xbox One console
Insert batteries or charge the Xbox controller
Press the Xbox button on the controller to turn it on
Press the Pair button on the Xbox One console
Press and hold the Pair button on the controller until the Xbox button flashes
Wait until the Xbox button stays lit
Test the controller to confirm it is connected
