Power off the Xbox One completely
Unplug the power cable and all other cables
Remove any disc from the console
Work on a clean, static-free surface
Gather a plastic pry tool, Torx screwdriver, and small containers for screws
Remove the side vents and outer plastic panels carefully
Release the clips along the top and bottom shells with a pry tool
Lift off the outer casing
Remove the internal shielding screws
Disconnect the internal cables and ribbon connectors gently
Remove the hard drive bracket if needed
Unscrew and remove the optical drive
Unscrew and remove the power supply
Unscrew and remove the fan assembly
Unscrew and remove the motherboard
Keep track of screw locations and cable positions
Reassemble in reverse order when finished
