Turn on your PC
Turn on the Xbox One controller
Connect the controller to the PC with a USB cable
Wait for Windows to install the drivers automatically
Press the Xbox button to confirm it works
Or, open Windows Settings
Go to Bluetooth & devices
Turn on Bluetooth
Put the controller in pairing mode by holding the Pair button until the Xbox light flashes
Select the controller from the Bluetooth device list
Wait for pairing to complete
Or, use an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows
Plug the adapter into a USB port
Press the Pair button on the adapter
Hold the controller Pair button until it connects
Open a game and test the controller
