How To Cook Ground Beef?

Choose the right ground beef (lean for less grease, higher fat for more flavor)

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat

Add ground beef to the hot skillet

Break the beef into small crumbles with a spatula

Cook until no longer pink, stirring occasionally

Drain excess grease if needed

Season with salt and black pepper (and any other seasonings you want)

Optional: add aromatics (onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin) and cook 1–3 minutes

Optional: add sauce (tomato sauce, pasta sauce, taco seasoning) and simmer 5–15 minutes until flavors combine

Check doneness (ground beef should reach 160°F / 71°C)

Serve immediately or cool and store in the refrigerator up to 3–4 days
