How To Cook King Crab Legs?

Thaw frozen king crab legs in the refrigerator overnight or under cold running water

Rinse the crab legs under cold water

Fill a large pot with 2 to 3 inches of water

Add a steamer basket if using

Bring the water to a boil

Place the crab legs in the steamer basket or into the pot

Cover the pot

Steam for 5 to 7 minutes if thawed

Steam for 10 to 12 minutes if frozen

Remove the crab legs from the pot

Let them cool for 1 to 2 minutes

Crack the shells with kitchen shears or a crab cracker

Serve with melted butter and lemon wedges
