Reduce the heat to medium-low
Add sliced onions, garlic, or broth if desired
Cover and cook until the steak reaches desired doneness
Use a meat thermometer to check internal temperature
Remove the steak from the heat
Let the steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes
Slice the steak thinly against the grain
Serve immediately
