How to Cook Tostones?

Peel green plantains

Cut plantains into 1-inch thick slices

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat

Fry plantain slices until lightly golden

Remove and drain briefly

Flatten each slice with a tostonera or the bottom of a cup

Return flattened plantains to the hot oil

Fry again until crisp and golden

Remove and drain on paper towels

Sprinkle with salt

Serve immediately
